I am very blessed. My parents accepted Christ before I was born, so Ive grown up in a wonderful Christian home. When I was very little I used to get up early in the morning with my Dad and he would read to me from my picture Bible. At the time I was too young to understand my need for a Savior, but God was working in my heart. One day when I was five years old, my family and I were in the car and I asked, Shouldnt I accept Jesus as my Savior? of course my parents said Yes! Then they explained Gods gift of salvation to me and I asked Jesus to forgive me of my sins and come into my life that very day.

One of the most important things I have learnt about being a Christian is that it does not grantee you a life free from troubles. My Mom has been sick and in the hospital for different things my whole life and two years ago I was in a car accident that did some permanent damage to my neck. The difference with having problems when you are a Christian verses when you are not is that you dont have to face the trouble alone. The Bible, Gods instruction manual on life, says in Deuteronomy 31:8, The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Think about the part in the beginning, The LORD himself goes before you. That means that God knows what is going to happen in our life before it ever does, nothing will surprise Him and nothing will happen that He doesnt think we can handle. And we handle these things by the strength that God gives us, strength so strong that we can say with absolute confidence, I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. (Philippines 4:13) The second part of that verse says, He will never leave you nor forsake you. That is so comforting! In this world we can lose anything, our job, our house, our health, our friends and our family. But we will never lose God because He will never leave us. Even when you mess up, even when everyone else has deserted you, God will still be there to comfort you and give you the peace you need to get through the hard times.

He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.
